Directions for completing the I-9 for our business partner, Compass Mortgage.

The notary session will be created with the I-9 forms attached already completed by the Compass Mortgage Human Resource Department.  The only action they are requesting, is for OneNotary Signing Agents to verify the identification provided on the form with the identification the signers have provided. 


There are a couple different scenarios associated with the proper completion of this document, outlined below:

 

Scenario 1, Step 1: 

If the signers identification originally listed on the form has NOT EXPIRED, the OneNotary Signing Agent is to sign as the authorized agent and enter their name at the bottom of page 2.  See image below...

NOTE: DO NOT fill out part A of the Section 3.  This is for reverification and rehires

Scenario 1, Step 2:

Next, the OneNotary Signing Agent will sign and date the addendum located on page 4.


Scenario 1, Step 3:

The OneNotary Signing Agent will wrap up the session, using the end call script.


Scenario 2, Step 1:

If the signers identification originally listed on the form in List "B" HAS EXPIRED, the OneNotary Signing Agent MUST update the identification information in Section 2, Employer or Authorized Representative Review & Verification.

Scenario 2, Step 2:

Next, the OneNotary Signing Agent is to sign as the authorized agent and enter their name at the bottom of page 2.  See image below...


Scenario 2, Step 3:

Next, the OneNotary Signing Agent will sign and date the addendum located on page 4.


Scenario 2, Step 4:

The OneNotary Signing Agent will wrap up the session, using the end call script.

 

Scenario 3, Step 1:

If the expired identification documentation is from List A or List the OneNotary Signing Agent MUST update the information AND fill out Section 3 Part C ONLY.


Scenario 3, Step 2:

Next, the OneNotary Signing Agent is to sign, date and enter their name at the bottom of page 2 and again, the addendum on page 4.
