To digitally seal your notarizations, you will need a digital certificate for eNotary services. You can buy a digital certificate from IdenTrust.
Note: The OneNotary platform doesn't support digital certificates issued by other RON providers.
When you purchase a Signing Digital Certificate from a trusted provider, it is usually stored on your computer. Before using your certificate in the OneNotary platform, you create a backup version of the certificate and then upload it.
To upload your digital certificate:
- Purchase the digital certificate.
- Export your certificate.
- Press the Upload button.
- Choose the unencrypted .pfx file to upload to your OneNotary profile.
- Enter the correct password for your certificate.
Note: IdenTrust recommends having two separate passwords: one to access your application, and one to protect your certificate.
