When you request a session, you may observe changes in the session status while going through different stages of the notarization.
Status | Explanation |
Invite Sent | The requestor has initiated an invite to participants. All participants have received emails with a join link. |
In Progress | The signer logged into their account and started to prepare for the session. |
Draft | All participants have reached at least the 'Documents' stage. |
Draft Expired | Participants have reached at least the 'Documents' page and have abandoned the request for more than 7 days. |
Identity Check | All participants have reached at least the 'Identity Check' page. |
Verification Required | At least one participant needs to start identity verification. |
KBA | The participants need to complete the quiz for the Knowledge Base System. |
Identity Expired | All participants have reached at least the 'Identity Check' page and have abandoned the request for more than 14 days. |
Locked | The request is locked for 24 hours due to unsuccessful identity verification. |
Payment Info | The paying agent (requestor or primary signer) has reached the payment stage. |
Abandoned Payment | The paying agent (requestor or primary signer) has reached the payment stage and has abandoned the request for more than 14 days. |
Ready to Start | All participants have performed an A/V check and identity verification and are waiting for the notary to start the session. |
Terminated | The session was stopped either by the notary or by any other participant. There was no way to pause the session to recover it later. |
Completed | The session was completed successfully. |
